From October 1st to 3rd, 2024, the partners of the PIONEAR project will gather in Warsaw, Poland, for the third General Assembly (GA). Hosted by the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics (Ł-IMIF), the event will bring together around 20 participants representing the seven consortium partners.
The event will kick off on October 1st with participants’ arrivals, followed by an informal icebreaker session. The day will also feature a tour of the Ł-IMIF facilities, including a demonstration of VCSEL processing technology.
On the second day, the focus will be on reviewing progress across the project’s various work packages.Key discussions will cover the design and fabrication of the membrane and acoustic chamber, VCSEL design and processing, microphone assembly, and device testing. In the afternoon, topics such as project management, coordination, communication, and dissemination will be addressed. The day will conclude with a consortium dinner, offering participants an opportunity for informal exchanges and networking.
The final day will include a visit to Vigo Photonics, where participants will tour the facility and observe the VCSEL production processes first-hand.
