Lumiary is a Swedish startup, pioneering the development a microphone based on chromometry, a novel laser sensor technology. The company aims to market these microphones and their components across several sectors, including professional audio, hearing aids, defence, and consumer electronics. Beyond this, Lumiary aspires to expand its technological horizons by developing other types of chromometric sensors, such as inertial sensors.

At the heart of the PIONEAR project, Lumiary plays a key role as the coordinator, driving the project’s vision with a dedicated team of two employees. The company’s scientific endeavours within PIONEAR focus on the integration of photonic, electronic, and digital signal processing techniques to enhance the performance and capability of the microphone signal.
